About content

Every class is in English, presented by the founder of Mesa Method. There are subtitles available in English and Portuguese.

Yes, all content is on video. There are 18 classes, with an average of 12 minutes per class, for a total of 145 minutes.

You have access to the course for unlimited time. All content remains available even after the conclusion. It can make sense to rewatch videos whenever any questions come up or when you execute your first Mesa.

Yes, it's possible to see all the videos in one day. The course has 145 minutes in total, which means you can watch everything in a little more than 2 hours. Many students shared with us their distributing on two days so they have time to write things down and exercise concepts.

The course does not need any material other than the video lessons. All the tools necessary to run your own Mesa are presented in the videos. When attending classes, you will understand why there is no need for extra material or activity diaries.

Above all, In Mesa, we believe in doing. This course is designed for you to have access to all information and details you need that allow you to lead your own Mesa. There is no formal evaluation. We hope that, after every step of the way, the student is able to evaluate his knowledge by applying it, being the leader of a Mesa.

Mesas are focused on assembling the right team (making sure you look at the problem and let it tell you what are the knowledge, experiences and abilities needed to solve it) and in the creation of something real (not an idea or prototype that illustrates an idea).

Mesa Method makes the team create the solution itself. If it's about technology, you'll code the product. If it's a new food product, you'll cook the recipe. If it's a business, the whole financial structure will be decided in 5 days. And so on.

Another aspect fundamentally different is the leadership role. With Design Thinking or Sprints, there is a facilitator, committed with the process. In a Mesa, there is a leader, committed to the result.

Problems of all essences can be solved in a Mesa. The method has been used for challenges of different kinds, in different markets and cultures. Any type of complex problem - which means that it needs more than one kind of experience or knowledge to be solved, - finds at Mesa an efficient method.

A complex problem tends to be hard, but not every hard problem is complex. A math problem, for example, may be hard, but is not complex, since it only needs one specialty dedicated to it.

But creating a new business, launching a product, defining the orientation of a brand, the purpose of an organization or the culture of a company - all problems that have been solved in Mesas - demand many different areas to lay over them so they can be solved in a Mesa.

The concepts that support Mesa Method have become more relevant since the start of the pandemic. In a world where we have less 'all done' answers, formulas that can be copied and applied, doing is the only path to find solutions. This way, we believe that there is no better moment than this one we're in right now, to learn about the method. The application was done in an on-site way before the world transformation. But, only 1 from the 18 classes focuses on this day. Every other lessons are about the method itself and, even when a physicality is mentioned, they're focused on the concepts that can be applied in different formats and contexts.
